Enzyme Delivery
Infinity2's Complete Physique book reminds readers: "Not just what we eat, but what we digest determines our health." Many people, even those concerned with "eating right," don't realize the importance of insuring that the nutrients in food are available to the individual cells. Even supplement formulators have forgotten this important principle. They concoct their "nutritional supplements" without any thought of how to literally supplement, or add to, the nutrition the body receives. To nourish the body, the nutrients must not merely be ingested, but must be digested and assimilatedbroken down and delivered to the individual cells of the body. It is on the cellular level that the body is nourished, regenerated and supplied with fuel for proper functioning.
In formulating all of Infinity2's supplements, this aspect was not only heeded, but was the determining factor in choosing which ingredients and in what amounts they were used in our products.
This reasoning was backed by years of proven research by the nation's leaders in supplemental nutrition.
Decades of Research
Dr. Edward Howell, the founder of National Enzyme Company, announced his discovery of the principle of Enzyme Nutrition in 1932. He then devoted the rest of his life, until his death in 1988 (at the age of 93), to researching and teaching about the critical role that enzymes play in nutrition and human health. Briefly stated, the Enzyme Nutrition principle is that a full complement of digestive enzymes must be ingested along with food for the complete nutritional value of the food to be delivered to the cells of the body. In fact, as we have seen in recent years with the development of a better understanding of the underlying causes of food allergies, incompletely digested food can become a toxin rather than a nutrient.
Dr. Howell's research teaches us how to precisely coordinate the nutrients in a supplement formula with the exact combination of enzymes required to deliver the nutrients to the cells of the body. The process, identified and utilized by Infinity2 and members of the Product Formulation Team in formulating the Infinity2 products, is known as Enzyme Delivery. Enzyme Delivery has made it possible to make natural supplements with the essential characteristics of whole, fresh food (food, of course, carries the highest possible nutritional value).
Delivery is the Name of the Game
The next breakthrough came when we compared the work of Dr. Howell with that of the internationally acclaimed mineral nutrition scientist, Dr. Harvey Ashmead. Dr. Ashmead's research into methods of bonding amino acids to minerals resulted in the multi-patented chelated mineral process and produced the most efficiently assimilated form of mineral supplementation. Dr. Ashmead, in consulting with Infinity2's formulators, expressed how excited he was with the use of enzymes in nutritional formulas; he also pointed out that enzymes require minerals as co-factors to reach their full activity. Infinity2's formulation team realized the highest level of nutrient delivery could be achieved by utilizing Dr. Ashmead's chelated minerals as co-factors in the enzyme delivery system.
Breakthrough Number One - CAeDS
Infinity2's formulators went right to work. With Dr. Ashmead's input, we teamed up to precisely match the enzyme delivery system of each formula with the correct combination of Albion chelated minerals to produce complete activation of the enzymes. The result is the exclusive Chelate Activated Enzyme Delivery System (CAeDS) which brings to Infinity2's formulas the highest level of nutrient delivery yet achieved in nutritional supplementation.
Why is an enzyme delivery system necessary?
The body's natural processes call for coordinated enzymes and minerals to be present in order for nutrients to be delivered to the cells of the body. With CAeDS, all we're doing is providing the same balance which exists in nature.
