Natural Replenishment for Iron-Poor Diets
Iron deficiency is the single most common nutrient deficiency in the world. Ferroflora is the answer to this common nutritional deficiency. Ferroflora provides patented chelated iron along with forms of organic iron and CAeDS(Chelate Activated Enzyme Delivery System) to ensure complete absorption. Actions:
Iron (Ferrochel): In order for a mineral to be absorbed by the body it must be chelated with an amino acid. In other words the mineral chelates (Greek word for "claw"), or binds to the amino acid, and is taken through the gut wall.

Most minerals found naturally in foods are chelated with amino acids. Unfortunately, dietary surveys show that most people do not consume an adequate supply of minerals from food. Manmade supplements, typically use inorganic salts because of low costs and high mineral contents. These salts are also found in the form of shells, structural materials, or rocks. Most people wouldn't consider eating a rock to get their minerals, but, in essence, that is what they're doing when they take inorganic salts.

The body must modify mineral salts to assimilate them. While mineral salts (carbonates, sulfates, oxides, etc.) must undergo complex digestive and transport processes, amino acid chelates are absorbed intact. The amino acids are then metabolized, and the mineral released in the body tissues.

Similar to nature's own chelates, the amino acid chelates in Ferroflora are more bioavailable and tolerated better than mineral salts as proven in studies conducted at universities. The chelated minerals in Ferroflora are from the only company in the world that holds patents to perform this strict process, and the benefits are magnificent.

Many so-called chelates are actually simple admixtures of unreacted mineral salts and protein. Imitation chelates are frequently found to be ineffective, and do not provide the health benefit possible with true chelates.

An example of the efficiency of our chelates is the effect on iron absorption. Iron deficiency is the single most common nutrient deficiency in the world. 58 percent of the population ingests less than the Recommended Daily Allowance of iron. The average adult loses one milligram of iron per day. Exercisers lose about one milligram of iron in sweat per workout, and menstruating women have an even greater demand for iron.

Pregnant women frequently require supplemental iron during pregnancy. Growing children require relatively high amounts of iron. New studies indicate that iron is essential not only for physical development, but also for cognitive proficiency. Coffee, tea, wine, fiber, and calcium inhibit iron absorption. Many drugs, such as anti-inflammatories, also create an increased demand for iron. Most supplemental and food additive iron is poorly absorbed and tolerated.

The amino acid chelate has proven to be absorbed, utilized, and tolerated far better than ferrous sulfate. A study of anemic adolescents by Dr. O. Pineda at INCAP (Institute of Nutrition for Central America and Panama) showed that because of its high bioavailability, 30 mg of iron as Ferrochel™ chelate raised hemoglobin levels the same as 120 mg of iron as ferrous sulfate!

Black Strap Molasses:
Rich source of organically bound iron in the solid extract form used in this formulation.

Yellow Dock:
The best organic blood/iron building herb known. Helps to correct iron deficiency anemia. Nourishes the spleen and liver and corrects anemic conditions.

Beet Root:
Naturally occurring blood building properties. Has naturally occurring DMSO.

Chelate Activated Enzyme Delivery System (CAeDS™):
